As a Fire fan, I couldn’t be happier. The future is now for the men in red, Blanco won’t be here forever and someone is needed now who can convert the great balls that Blanco can put into the middle. McBride fits the bill and more. If Chicago wins this year or next then Chicago got the better end of the deal.

TFC needs players who can score. It looks like they can expect a few balls in the back of the net with Barrett, but not necessarily when you need it or expect it. I wish him well and hopefully he can help TFC in the years to come. Word in Chicago is that he is off to Europe after this season.

Osorio will not change his style no matter who is the filed, so continue to expect dull drab boring play designed to get a draw.

So, the question for the next few weeks in the MLS is if Chicago’s gamble will pay off. Lets hope so as a Fire fan!

San Jose has done some nice things this transfer window and could still make the playoffs in the woeful west. RSL will fade, I think we all know that. So who takes over the west? Chivas, Houston and who finishes third? San Jose has a shot.

RSL are the Mighty Ducks and Kreis is their Emilio Estevez!

FC Dallas put a beating on the Galaxy this weekendso it will be too bad if the lose Toja and Cooper. The whole league is in a state of parity this season and Dallas had as good a shot as anyone else in the West. Only New England in the East look dominant at the moment.

Any rumours floating around Jeff Cunningham moving out of Toronto?
