Excellent article, Robert. Thank you. Wish I could have been there. Seattle is a great city and I have a lot of happy memories of my visits there.

    Cheers,

Yea yea Seattle. The GAME on the other hand was incredibly dull. The Galaxy players didn’t seem to be up for the game. The amount of players walking around during overtime was embarassing. Am I the only person who isn’t gushing over this game?

Stop complementing us so much, most of us Sounders were generally chanting “Come on, Someone score a goooaaal,” and pretty much cheering for any and all unsportsmanlike conduct.

But I’m glad the lesser of too evils won. Good work, RSL, that’ll teach Beckham not to fart on his contract, and Donovan not to lose hair!

Anyone have thoughts on where the 2010 MLS cup will be? Not that I’m bragging, but on a League Image level it’ll be tough to match that packed Qwest Field visual.

For all the hype, the pagentry and all the constant ESPN noise a .9 rating with Becks is no good.

You are a Sounders fan Joe, so I will cut you some slack,
but how do you get incredibly dull out of a game that went through double OT with both teams having MANY chances to win, then to penalty kicks, that still didn’t decide it, so they had to take extra PKs. I agree LA didn’t hussle, but dull ?

3-1 ratio of Salt Lake to Galaxy ? Not even close.
I would put the attn. something like 36k Sounders, 9k SLC, 1k LA, giving a 9-1 ratio.
Garber is going to have the home field advantage be huge next year with by having MLS Cup not be a neutral site…very smart. And the right thing to do too.
If he doesn’t….They should have the MLS Cup in Seattle every year, my son and I had a blast!

If the site stays neutral then MLS Cup should be in Seattle every year. It’s treated like a big deal here. No other city can match that.
