      Thanks for the feedback, Albiceleste. Definitely will keep that in mind. If anybody else has thoughts – either way – please let me and The Gaffer know. We always want to hear what works.

      And what doesn’t.

    I enjoyed the podcast, and yes it was bland and dull coming from the professor. That being said, I think he made some good points and was informative. I believe the key would be to try and find an expert who has more personality which you can play off of in the interview. This would make it a much more enjoyable listening experience.

    Thank you for the effort in putting this series together.

      Thanks for the feedback, BayVol. In the future, as the host, I can help the situation, too. This feedback helps.

    Interesting when addressing American Needle v. NFL case, he only looked at it from the perspective of the NFL winning the case.
    That would be great from the two leagues perspective, but what if they lose ?
    Did he not address that because he thought the NFL would win…or because life would just go on the same if they lost….neither seem to be logical to me.

    I thought it was really interesting. Nice to hear some professional insight from a knowledgeable NEUTRAL party. And kudos to you, Richard. Those were some good questions. I would have loved to hear how Mr. Standen foresees this whole deal playing out, though.

    @everyone who was bored
    Read the description before you listen. It’s a discussion about labor disputes, collective bargaining, and the importance of single-entity for crying out loud. That’s like taking a Cost Accounting course and expecting to play Monopoly all day.

    Is the podcast still available via iTunes? The last episode available is the 1/14/10 Haiti podcast.

        Yes, all. I apologize. This is a product of the transition from Kartik to me. I didn’t cover one of the bases. I will be sure to update this thread when the podcast is back on iTunes.

    Excellent work Richard. I finally got a chance to listen to the episode. Definitely highly recommended for MLS fans who want to get an expert opinion on the topic. And Richard, your questions were fantastic and really pushed the guest to answer those hard, complicated and important topics.

    Cheers,
    The Gaffer

    Just listened to the 10/26/2010 podcast & the talk about the lack of popularity of MLS in the U.S. I think something like the EPL Preview & EPL Review Show would be great for the MLS, especially a review show. I love the EPL Review Show and watch it on FSC every Sunday night. It keeps me up to date with my Chelsea and the rest of the league without having to watch 9 different games. One nice thing about the EPL Preview & Review Show is they give the viewer off the pitch info about players, tratition of the clubs, stats, etc. Another great thing about the EPL Review Show…..All it shows are goals!!! The biggest complaint the American sports fan says about soccer is the lack of goals.
