		<description>First off, only 3 points are separating first seed and fourth in the West, and second and third in the East. The Sounders and Dynamo are only one point apart, and with one game to go, LA, Chivas, Houston and Seattle could each have finished first. It&#039;s anyone&#039;s series, because all of these teams are more or less evenly matched. 

Also, in 3 of the 4 matchups the visiting teams this weekend have achieved a result on the home team&#039;s pitch. So anyone saying &quot;seed X should beat seed Y&quot; is talking out of their hat.

The worrisome series is Crew/RSL - the only series where one team has clearly been dominant over the season now finds themselves in a hole. I would not call that anything resembling &quot;according to plan.&quot;

Someone at MLST could just as easily write a piece titled &quot;MLS Playoff Results Could See Four Upsets - Time to Change Format?&quot; And in fact, I&#039;m surprised Kartik hasn&#039;t already done just that.</description>
