I agree Kartik = Dot Head. But if you are so concerned about racism get your fans to stop heckling Sinha and Franco when they play for the national team. Perhaps if some of your fans were less racist, Ricardo LaVolpe would have succeed as manager and you wouldn't still be whining about MAXI RODRIGUEZ!

I cannot find fault with your comments about India, but you seem to not recognize a main trait of America. We haven't employed the multi cultural regime Tony Blair put in place in the UK. When we become Americans we check our identities at the door, and all become American. We are loyal to our nation, our military and our people. Americanism isn't as much a race as it is a state of mind and a spirit that has conquered the world over. We are the greatest nation on the planet while Mexico and India are not even close.

I for one was born in the states and never lived in India, which is as you describe. I cannot testify about Bombay as I have never been there. If you live in the US, you should identify yourself as an American and not a Mexican.

So the big question: Are you an American or a Mexican? If you live in the US, are you showing a disloyalty to our country? That is on you and not on me, my friend. If you in fact do not consider yourself an American, if you live in the US, then we have a real problem.

Guys, don't worry about Kartik's comments. He's just mad because he's Indian. His country is overpopulated and filthy. He and all his people look like they were char-broiled. Ugly, digusting people, who work at call centers or Quik-E-Marts for less than minimum wage. All anybody knows about India is that Mother Theresa had to go down there to take care of all those starving idiots because they can't take care of themselves.

An Indian slagging on Mexico is like a midget trying to make fun of tall people.

To be honest i think u are making extreme points and only focusing on Mexico for the very fact that you refure to talk about our own campaign which to me was very lame and not at all too great. We need to improve dramatically and we can not call ourselves the new Kings of Concacaf when we have not beaten brazil as many times as Mexico has or infact won any Confederations cup, or played a good Copa America. The fact is we are still growing but should retain from making comments about other footballing countries who take the sport os futbol seriously. Go yanks!

Why would u post something so utterly stupid like this u racist m.uther f.ker when your beloved USMNT did not play at all good futbol againts neither of the 5 teams of Concacaf :El Salvador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras, nor T&T... To be honest if u watched the games the USMNT played i must give u credit for supporting 90 minutes of anti-football and lame player quality and dont come at me with the whole "We are the New Kings of Concacaf" becuase USMNT only qualified to the world cup for the same reason you Americans and others say Mexico qualified. ITS Becuase both the USA and Mexico are in CONCACAF and only for that reason.

Are u on cra.k??? U must be because that is what u need to be on when u see the USMNT team make an effort to "play" soccer. I must say if u like watching EYE BLEADING sports such as "baseball" like most americans prefer over the World sport which everyone with good taste would choose any day over baseball known as SOCCER, then i say go ahead and watch the USMNT play, u will be guaranteed utter and complete boreness and may infact feel like sui.ciding which u shouldn't do, instead just close your eyes, grab the remote, and watch the discovery channel... Will give you more action than anything the USMNT can possibly offer, ANY DAY

I have posted on here before, but Mexico is WAY Better: Please practice what you preach and refrain from tossing out racist remarks about East Asians. You are speaking out of your ass... Their economy and their derogative type-cast personas in the US have no bearing on the actual opinion of Kartik (or at least it shouldn't). I support Mexico, but I will stand by the team and the team only. I think all Mexico supporters should do the same.

As for Lars: It's only because the United States is a Cocaine addicted country and must get their daily fill from us "Poor Latino Folk" that the informal drug economy still finds itself alive and kicking. If you truly want to talk politics and economics, you must come to the knowledge that in order to quell an informal economy (which, if you don't know means a market that runs outside the government run economy and is not subject to any sort of national tax) you must stop the demand and thus the production of it will also stop. Remember: a drop in consumers=a drop in that market. It is American citizens who are allowing this bloodshed to occur, and until America can give attention and focus on this truly important issue, Mexico will still be governed by Drug Lords and a corrupt government. Do not blame the people of Mexico (or South & Central America for that matter), but blame the consumers.

Kartik: Unfortunately, we live in a capitalistic society. Outsourcing jobs is synonymous for cheap labor now. People are going to look for the cheapest way to make their products so they can reap maximum profit. It's the way the world works. This truth kind of cancels out your patriotic claim that America awards hard work. It doesn't, that's why we're capitalists and that's why you can find MTV, Hollywood, and crooked politicians who all love to smile a little and give a bit, but reap dishonest and quick benefits. You cannot begin to defend America as being honest when this countries current international identity (regardless of Obama) is anything but. As for your football comments: You are stereotyping. Diving exists, but it is exemplified in your eyes in Mexico because of the premises you have going into watching their games. If you truly considered the tone of voice you were writing this article in, you would see that it sounds as if it was written with anything BUT a "clean conscience". Your problem is seen as lying with Mexico. You stated within your preface that, " My distinct hope was that Mexico WOULD NOT qualify for South Africa, and this article which is sure to arouse controversy would not need to be written. With Mexico’s qualification secure, the time has come to discuss how exactly El Tri returned to the World Cup." I'm sure you pride yourself in being a journalist as much as you pride yourself on following the national teams (I'm not much of a writer, so I must resort my comments to humble replies on articles), but your starting comments already let's us know your "vantage point". You make a cheap correlation between diving/ref favoritism and Mexico's qualification in order to defend Honduras. If you do this, you must also consider the correlation between Aguirre's entry and Mexico's qualification. There was a noticeable difference in the quality of playing from the players. Their stamina improved and while it reaped PK's (which are not unknown in soccer :D ), it still led to great lessons in team perseverance as a whole.

Just giving another two cents.

Peace.

You're a sore loser and a poor excuse for a journalist. This article is pure opinion with little fact.

You know when the USA will be a better soccer team and nation than Mexico? When you start to measure the USA's success on its own terms and not compare with the Mexican game.

Since you are in a position to start doing this, why dont you start?
