I dont think the U.S is understimating Mexico. And you are right, the horrible job the directivos have done has really affected Mexico on the field. And man for man mexico has a more talented squad (indiviuals), but what mexico needs is a team. Thats what Aguirre has been doing, bring the type of players he sees mexico needs, the ones that will play for love not for money, the ones who feel the hunger to win and in hte process aguirres has left out some vacas sagradas (Oswaldo, Pardo), who really had a negative impact in the locker. The team has been playing better and better. Yes we beat U.S B team, dont forget that we also took a B team but due to the fact that many of the players in Mexicos B team performed soo well they earned a spot in the A team (the same didnt happen with U.S).

I really dont think the U.S will take a win, I think they will play for the 0-0, im sure they will. But in the end, Mexico will win, it could be 1-0 or 3-0, but dont matter, a victory is a victory. And today there will be a Fiesta in the Estadio Azteca, people willl celebrate Mexicos Victory in the Angel dela independencia. And U.S fans will be here and in other sites writting excuses as to why they lost.

I'm not saying U.S is a bad team, they have an awsome keeper, some really good young guys, and though i hate him, they have landon. But like aguirre said, when they come to the U.S they take them too the cold, to climates they are not used to...away from their people...now its mexicos turn...you come to our home, to our climate and you'll fell the screams of our people running down to your legs. And since many of the young players including howard have never played on the Azteca this will really be an intimidating situation for them. dont think they'll be able to handle it.

But we will see..just wait a couple of hours.

We have to admit that Aguirre has worked real hard to put a better team together then what they had before. Since he started coaching them Mexico has gotten from bad to better than before. It shouldn't be any excuse whether they are at the Azteca or here, they proved it last time and this time same could happen from either team!

Mexico is hurting, and this is why the 5-0 Gold Cup win was so critical. Had the USA beaten Mexico in the Gold Cup, there would have been more pressure on Mexico that ever before. The Gold Cup win let many Mexicans forget about how horrible their national team has been the last few years.

Had this been the scenario, the USA would have had a much better chance at Azteca. Why? 105k fans. Those fans are great when they are on your side, but if they turn the could change the match. Mexicans have no problem expressing their displeasure with their home side. The longer the USA has the game tied the angrier the fans would get.

Bottom line, Gold Cup win eased up a little pressure from Mexico, but if Mexico looks bad early, the fans could change just as they did in 1997. Nothing helps more than 105k fans booing the home team. How about Mexicans 'ole'ing for the USA? Its happened before.

I don't think anyone is underestimating Mexico. If we fall asleep out there its because this team has demonstrated a chronic case of narcolepsy that seems to strike at the most inopportune times. If BB can hold the team together both times they come out of the locker room, we have a good chance to steal some points.
