<description>Kartik - I am sure we bumped into each other at the games. I went to every damned Striker game played for the glory day years. My dad was buds with Gerd Mueller - I actually played for his restaurant team - The Ambry. Used to go to Pier Street Anex with my folks too! Fantastic site - I looked a few years ago for a good site with Striker links/info - trying to relive the good old days but never found much then. Just did a search on Pier Street and found your site... fantastic. Weren&#039;t those the days. Did you used to watch the team practice at the little field next to the Yankee stadium. We would gather the balls whenever they would kick them out of bounds. We would also grab the NASL Game Magazine sold at the games after the games were over - then run around the parking lot selling them for 50 cents. Ha just heard you say during the interview that you were 9 years old. I was 13 I believe and was just devastated when the team moved... Still makes me pissed off because I lived for the Strikers at that point in my life. I find myself becoming so sad right now. Because that was where I have some of the best memories with my now deceased father. Man I find I could go on and on and on... I got to play in Coral Springs with Nene, got to play with Gerd (he was an ass) and got to hang with the beloved Strikers. Those were the days. Thanks for keeping the memories alive...
