In a perfec world like this, we could be top 10. But like you say we could be better with what we have to choose from, and that’s when you question the manager. This website has already addressed this but unfortunately no one in the USSF has and it looks like Bradley is here to stay until 2010.

Bornstein has had a couple of slip ups, but I feel he’s a better defender than Demerit. Other than that this line up is perfect. Minus Bradley, of course.

I’m growing tired of focusing on the “What if’s” when discussing football in the US. It’s time we stop looking at the past and saying “what could of been” and we start focusing on the future and a deeper look at our development system.

ummm dream is good but this all the USSF fault for hiring a Dumb Ass Coaches that don’t know much of Soccer starting from our youth Development coaches to the Senior. The only one right now that I think is doing the right thing is Waldimire Cabrera U17 National Team. He know tactics, Techniques and been to two World Cup as a player. He given the freedom to be creative and technical. that what we need in this USMNT. So Dream is good to bad we let out talent go to waste.

you forgot Edgar Castillo, in a pretend world, he chooses us, and Zak Whitbread (formally of Liverpool) becomes a decent sub

Also, the dream for Adu is that he turns down the MLS at 14 and sign that contract with Inter or allowed Sir Alex of Man Utd to further inspect him.

Also, Donovan would have been offered a nice juicy contract with Bayern Munich or just not have lest Leverkusen at 16

AND Tim Howard is still top man between the posts and Old Trafford, helping the Reds build another European and EPL campaign

AND Brian McBride is still internationally active. I know he’s old (he scored the only US goal of the 98 WC) but he just gets better with time. He’s one of the only US players revered across the pond (his nick name at Craven Cottage was Brian McGod) and would be perfect mix of veteren and youngster (adu, altidore, bradley, edu)

You also forgot Vedad Ibisevic who was leading the Bundesliga in goals before he injured his knee.
