I really don’t look for Landon to be successful in this loan. As an American I would like to see him perform well, but I am also a realist. It is easy to be a big fish in a small pond, but when you move the fish to a bigger more talented pond, they usually become fish food. Landon usually has trouble when the competition is more talented.

Landon has had a lot of success at the international level, where competition is very intense. I think we can be uncertain because it will take time to adjust to the English game, but I think that Landon playing well is a certainty, given time.

Landon big fish small pond BLAH BLAH BLAH! Whatever!!! Look, Landon played with a VERY talented Bayern Munich side and scored some goals in friendlies with them. He didn’t look out of place on the same pitch with Ribery and the rest. So spare me the crap about him being a big fish in a small pond. You do know he has excelled at the international level as well right? That is considered the very best of the best each nation can throw. He will do FINE. Reason why he was not bought by Bayern was because MLS was asking for a large,r than what the team was ready to pay, transfer fee. Would they have liked to have had him for the rest of the season? ABSOLUTELY!!!

Unrelated note. Those 2006 kits were outstanding. Those are the ones that should be our Classic look. Clean, unique (I haven’t seen any similar, i might be wrong), classy.
