I grew up in San Diego with the Sockers. Went to NASL games as a toddler, had season tickets to indoor games throughout childhood. Then, the team collapsed and was reborn again and again without gaining traction. I moved away to soccer-less markets. In the bay area I followed a team called The Victory, which folded after one lackluster season on the frigid SF peninsula. I have longed to live in a place where I'd have a local team to follow. Now that I'm in LA, I have two! Just moved down in time to catch the end of exciting seasons for both Galaxy and Chivas. This playoff may determine which team gains by unwavering allegiance. Nothing less is at stake here than whose colors I shall be wearing for years to come. The MLS has finally gotten me thrilled about American soccer. Thanks!

Eric:
You point out the story lines created by the MLS in this season's playoffs. By design or not the LA match up is a great story, the Seattle story is a great one, the Chicago v. Revs head to head once again in the playoff's is a great one, the Crew after a disaster of a start can they repeat.

All good headlines. With new teams coming, a World Cup with MLS stars involved ahead, more and more media exposure(ok, I like the job ESPN has done with MLS this year), MLS is a product on the rise!
