Media reports all say a pro-Honduran crowd is expected. How is this even possible for a home qualifier? The federation goes to great pains to ensure pro-USA crowds against Mexico, yet, again--just like in 2001--we'll be playing an "away" game at home to Honduras.

The podcast talked a lot about the lack on accountability in the USSF. What better example is there than this? A USA home qualifier should *never* have anything except a massively pro-USA crowd. It is the federation's responsibility to do whatever it can to make that happen in selecting venues.

If not enough USA fans can turn up in Chicago, just like DC in 2001, then I'm sorry, but they are 100% unacceptable as venues for home qualifiers. In Columbus, it's fanatical pro-USA crowds. The only home qualifier I ever made it to was in Portland Oregon in 1997 vs. CR--fanatically pro-USA. A bunch of us went up to Richmond near Vancouver in 1997 and turned Canada's home qualifier vs. the USA into a pro-USA crowd.

If a ragtag bunch from the Pacific NW could do that by ourselves, you'd think the federation would be able to do it for a home qualifier. This is rank incompetence.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to dis Chicago and DC. They'd be fine for qualifiers against, say, T&T or Jamaica--and for home friendlies where they can rake in the cash--but NOT for a qualifier against Honduras. Don't they get it? This isn't a friendly!

even Honduras' little guns will knock us off without some serious soul searching and tactical changes from Bradley. I am losing hope.

Wilson Palacios is substantially better than any American player. When I say substantially, I mean a gap as wide as the Pacific Ocean. David Suazo also is much better than any America. Too bad he won't play. Maybe you whiners could really be hurling tears if he and Palacios played the weak Bradley XI together tonight.

I agree with your comment this time. I think the US will win this game by 2 or more. I believe that after Wednesday games, it will be clear what teams will take the 3 world cup spots (US, Costa Rica and Mexico). Honduras will have to try to get 4th place. Unfortuntelly, the dictators of CONCACAF favored Trinidad and Tobago in the schedule. They programmed (faking a draw as alwyas) T & T last 2 games against opponents that by then will be qualified. I hope we can talk about the corruption of CONCACAF in one of the posts.
