Yeah, I know, it's probably gonna happen eventually, but we'll miss him greatly in Houston

It's no coincidence Dom's two players were the guys not quitting on Sunday. Holden was still chasing every ball and Ching was trying to calm down the other guys who were jumpy. As I said in my piece yesterday, the ONLY time I approve of an MLS guy not going to Europe is if he plays for Kinnear (or Sigi before Sigi took a turf job in Seattle)

Dom is the type of coach that every other coach hopes to be. A winner that can make the best of a poor situation and do so with a positive attitude. He inspires players to perform and knows how to make them feel valuable. His ability to adapt during games is something that Bob Bradley needs to emulate.

Well done, you did leave out the part of the focus and stress Dom was under when AEG moved the team to Houston. It was rough to move wife and kids to a new state not knowing what to expect in soccer terms from us in Houston. I mean the players really could have laid a stinker in '06 but Dom took the AEG relocation project by the horns and when given lemons he mashed out lemonade! He really fired up the players he had in '06, he brought in Serioux, Holden, Ianni, Wells and Daggers. He put all the old San Jose players with the new blood and at the end of the day, with the massive showing of Naranja fans and supporters, Houston goes on to win the Western Conference and of course the '06 MLS Cup ON DALLAS HOME GROUND!!! Hahaha! Dom truly is da MAN!

Brian:

All in all, as a Southerner who is dubiously Hispanic, I'm slowly coming around to loving the Dynamo. It gives me one A-Team player (Clark), and two B-Teamers (Ching and Holden). It gives me a fine Western Division squad. And it gives me a badass coach.

Oh, and it's relatively close to home. I'll be driving to H-Town to go see Dynamo play. If I enjoy it, I'll make the pilgrimage 3-5 times a year. Easy.

a part of Kinnear you didnt mention is he is fluent in Spanish, nothing better than watching the superliga/championsleague games on telefutura and them having him at halftime and postgame talking intelligently and straightforwardly in spanish. would endear a lot of hispanics to the USMNT if he was given that chance.
