Eplnfl says what I was thinking. USA best talent is playing in the NFL and NBA. That and the fact that the coaching at the youth and college level is average at best equals a very underachieving squad. But US soccer will not make the changes needed. So even though BB is not a great coach the talent is limited. I wish he would play some different players more often and not try them for just ten minutes at a time.

Good insight on Dempsey C Webb. Finding the right spot for him on the field and when to come in to the game is a issue for his coach.

Bob Bradley, and thanks for mentioning the European win v. the Swiss, has had his share of achievements but seems to get little credit for them. Unlike those before him he is not afraid to drop a match or two along the road to SA in 2010. You learn more from a defeat than a victory says the old adage and Bradley certainly shows that.

Bradley can not help that America still has it's best talent going to the NFL. He has to make do and right now is making due as well as could be asked of anyone.

I'm not sure I'm in the camp that says Dempsey needs to play up top. I seem to remember a stretch of play last year when he was a forward where he was absolutely dreadful.

The problem with Dempsey is that he's a tweener. Not quite a midfielder, not quite a forward. In all honesty, I'd love to see him play right behind Davies and Altidore at the point of a diamond midfield with Landon on the left, Holden on the right and either Bradley or Clark in front of the back four.

He has to make several important decsions in the upcoming games. If the US does qualify, his decisions will become even more difficult. Let's hope that he plays an aggressive approach against Honduras.
