    Great article.

I know exactly how you feel. I can’t wait. Ever since Thursday I’ve been so nervous I’ve actually started to break out and get some pimples. Which hasn’t happened in like 13 years since I was a teenager.

Same here Brian, you speak for most of us. I would like to say in advance that no matter what happens today all of us should express our pride in the American team this evening and be thankful for one great rollercoaster of a ride. Nixon( a man I seldom give credit to for anything) said upon his resignation from office that unless you experience the lows you can not appreciate the highs( close to the quote but not exact). The last two weeks took American fans from the deepest depression to the high peak. Another quote I am much more comfortable relating today, Martin Luther King, Jr. shortly before his passing told a crowd that if he did pass on that it did not matter any longer to his struggle, because he had seen the mountain top the struggle had been won and all citizen’s of our land would be accorded the equal treatment that the law requires. For American soccer fans what happens against Brazil is not as important as just what took place, we have seen the mountain top, American’s can beat the worlds best in soccer, and while a win today will be the cherry on top of the ice cream soda, American soccer and it’s loyal fans have overcome and had earned equal treatment in the American and World media which so often made us second class.

Go USA, were all Captain America today!

Here’s to an American win…from Canada. USA USA USA!!!

Let’s change the way people are in North America. I can see the MLS stadiums flooding with fans to see Donovan play if there is a US win tonight…

Thanks Kartik! I wasn’t able read this until now about 6 hours after today’s game ended. A lot of people I know don’t get The Beautiful Game, so in person, I’m a fan unto myself a lot of the time, but thanks to pubs and sites like this, those of us who do get it, have a place to read about it and connect.
